Pachypleurosaurus edwardsi, nothosaurus skeleton

This replica is a complete skeleton of an example of a primitive synaptosaurian reptile group known as nothosaurus. This specimen was found in Triassic of Switzerland.

Pachypleurosaurus (meaning 'thick rib lizard') is a genus of pachypleurosaurian that lived during the Triassic Period. It was a basal sauropterygian, and had a long neck. The type species is P. edwardsi.
