DESCRIPTION
This is an adult size model/sculpture/reconstruction of a Tyrannosaurus rex skull based on the skull and skeleton of the specimen known as Black Beauty. Black Beauty was found in the Willow Creek Formation, Cretaceous rocks of Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, Canada. The original skull is housed in the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, in Drumheller, Alberta. It is specimen number RTMP 1981.6.1. This reconstruction is beautifully detailed and accurate.
SIZE
As shown in the photos the skull is 50 inches long, 36 inches wide, 36 inches tall. The height can vary depending on how wide the mouth is open. The mouth opening width may be changed 6 inches or so upon request.
DISPLAY STAND
You have the option of a tabletop stand or floor stand. Upon request the height of the floor stand may be made to make the top of the skull up to 6 feet off the floor.
WEIGHT
Skull and stand weigh about 200 pounds.
MATERIALS
Skull is made of resin and fiberglass and the stand is steel.
COLOR VARIATIONS
Upon request the color of the skull can be made darker or lighter. We will work with the buyer.
