These dinosaur eggshells come from Oviraptor and were found in the Cretaceous Age rocks (88-70 million years old) Djadokhta Formation of Mongolia.

Oviraptor eggs were discovered in 1923 by George Olsen in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia alongside the skeleton of Oviraptor. It was originally presumed to have eaten the eggs. It was hypothesized that the toothless beak would have been conducive to breaking open the shells of eggs. Thus, Oviraptor was called the "egg thief". Recent studies found an Oviraptor embryo inside one of those eggs, so actually Oviraptor was by its own nest taking care of her eggs.
