This replica tooth is cast from an authentic juvenile Megalodon tooth. Note that even at such a young age the tooth is very nicely serrated. Large authentic complete teeth can cost hundreds even thousands of dollars. The largest known tooth is nearly 7.5 inches long Megalodon had 46 front row teeth, 24 in the upper jaw and 22 in the lower jaw. Most sharks have at least six rows of teeth, so a Megalodon had about 276 teeth at any given time. A living Megalodon may have reached a length of 67 feet and weighed over 100 tons. Megalodon lived in most oceans of the world between 23 and 2.6 million years ago.
